Drear and restless

I'm not enjoying my work at the moment.

I've found myself repeatedly bored and uninspired this week. Not really sure if it's me, or if it's the job/environment. It's crossed my mind that I've just got stale and need to change things around -- internally or externally, or both.

Ho hum.

I'm a good bet for really bad careers advice at the moment, so as a gesture of support and friendship, I'll refrain from giving you any. But good luck...

Urb: thanks for the recommendation - you've been dead busy!

Red: thanks! ;-)

Andy - I also emailed you thanking you for your email (yes, you are right, it's work-related bad stuff that's been keeping me away - that's why I'm so badly qualified to offer advice). But your email still seems to be rejecting or quarantining stuff...

Hey there R1...sorry to hear your (inferred) work nastiness is causing you some friction. Our ISPs seem to have periodic "not talking to each other" sessions, don't they? I guess it's the same in any relationship.

Weird, though.

Hang in there, brother/sister: all this will pass. Before you know it, you'll be running barefoot through the dewy grass of life's sunlit uplands. Yay! :-)

*runs momentarily through sunny uplands* Blimey, there's a bloke with a camera in his phone taking pics of how the light reflects off the dew...

Okay, I will swap you. I take your job, you look after 57 13 year olds in London! Taeks

Taeks...

Um, er, well, um...actually, I've got a verucca. A note from my mum. A cold. A bad leg.

OK, OK, I hear ya. :-)

I've been deep in the woods for a few days, kicking around in the undergrowth. But I'm near the fringes now, and I'll be breaking out into the sun again in a minute.

It ain't so bad.

So what are you going to do to get out of this rut you've found yourself in? :D

I'm going to get off my (metaphorical) ass, sit down on my real one, and do what I should really be doing: writing that novel. Here I go...
